Light Board does not ask for an account, an email address or a name, and it contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. This page describes exactly what leaves your device and why.

Your boards stay on your device

Every board you make is stored in the app's own folder on the device. Boards are never uploaded, never shared, and are deleted with the app.

What is sent when you ask the AI for a board

• The text you type, and the conversation so far in that one chat.
• The size of the board in pixels and whether it is portrait or landscape.
• The app's display language, so the AI answers in the language you read.
• An anonymous installation identifier (a random value created on first launch, kept in the Keychain and synced through iCloud Keychain so your quota follows you to a new device), an Apple DeviceCheck token, and — if you have one — your App Store subscription receipt. None of these is a device identifier, an advertising identifier, or anything Apple lets us link back to you.

That request goes to our own server, which forwards it to our data plane and to the AI model provider that writes the board. Please do not type anything private into the description — treat it like text you are about to hold above your head, because that is what it becomes.

Anonymous counters

The app reports a small number of named events — first launch, a chat opened, a board generated, a board lit up, a board that failed, a paywall shown, a purchase started or finished. Each report carries only the event name, the app version and your App Store country. There is no identifier of any kind attached, so these counts cannot be tied to you or to each other. They are stored as daily totals and kept for at most 400 days.

Quota

Free allowance, subscription periods and pack balances are recorded against the anonymous installation identifier described above. The DeviceCheck token is used only to ask Apple whether this device has already used its free allowance, which is what stops the free tier from being farmed by reinstalling.

Purchases

Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. We verify the signed receipt Apple gives the app so we know which plan you are on.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
